parallel to the limits of reality, through an exquisite play of light and
effects with mirrors. This technology is like a work of art. The Mori Building
Digital Art Academy, which opened in the summer of 2018 and located near Tokyo,

technologies are inside. It is about overcoming the barrier between art and the

Technology as a
work of art
The museum has a
huge space where works are constantly changing, such as the landscape -
flowers, plants, fish, mountains and other elements. Therefore, it is impossible
to see the same scene twice. The works change literally at every step of each
visitor, a unique and unrepeatable experience that invites you to get lost in
fully digital labyrinths that vibrate with the seasons. So, for example, in the
Japanese spring, you walk through small lush rice fields. In the summer, the
environment matures, and in the fall, everything takes on a golden hue. Insects
and flowers appear over time. The movement of insects is influenced by the
actions of people, and when people move, the air flow changes and blows the
flower petals in different directions. Each work is modified when the new

Museum without maps
The museum does not have a pre-determined tour. The works also change through the interaction between the visitors themselves. In the so-called "Forest of Resonant Lamps", which simulates the ceremony of the arrival of cherry blossoms, the lamps change color as they approach, but change color again if another visitor approaches this time. The message he is trying to convey is that there are no boundaries and that each person can influence and be influenced by others. In this way, they have completely eliminated the maps of the museum, so that everyone is the author of their journey and, therefore, their experience, it is enough to follow the heart. The Mori Building
Museum of Digital Art is ideally suited for this application of technology as a
work of art that is gaining more and more prominence in modern society; and
knows how to combine fine arts and different technologies. This art creates
immersive installations that have a powerful impact on the viewer and, in turn,
transform technology into a huge work of art. The contents of the museum were
created by the teamLab Borderless, an interdisciplinary group of
internationally renowned artists. It includes ultra technologists, programmers,
engineers, computer graphics animators, mathematicians and architects.
